English 12 - Part 1 (ENGL 0981)

English 0981 is the first half of the Provincial Level or English 12. This course concentrates on Canadian literature and literary terminology. Students edit and revise various types of essays and are introduced to various types of writing. There is a brief review of grammar, punctuation and basic essay structure. English 0981 and 0991 may be taken at the same time or in any order.

Prerequisite: English 11 and required score on VCC ABE assessment

Note: This English course is not suitable for students who have English as a second language (ESL) and who have not attended academic courses in Canada for a minimum of three years. Please see English Language Skills or College Preparatory English programs
