Childbearing Family Transitions (NURS 2263)

This course provides an opportunity to apply family theory to forming partnerships with families. Emphasis is placed on developing novice level assessment, planning and intervention skills with child bearing families as well as heightening student's sensitivity to family diversity. Themes of health promotion and transition throughout the lifespan continue in this course with focus on holistic assessment of growth and development from conception through to adolescence.
