Orff Teacher Training Level 2 (MUSC 4502)

Level II is a two-week course where students consolidate the learning that occurred in Level I as well as explore compound meters, hybrid meters and diatonic melodies and accompaniments as well as extended forms, through playing, improvising and composing. Students will demonstrate fluency with the transfer process in teaching a lesson to their peers. Recorder will include continuation of soprano recorder as well as introduction of the alto recorder. Students will join Level I and Level III for Special Topics each day.

Successful completion of an approved Level II course with a grade of at least 80% provides participants with the opportunity to continue training in Level III. This course is credited with 4 upper division credits.
