Professional Development (HAIR 1101)

This is a broad introduction to the history and governing legislative requirements in relationship to this trade. Students study tool identification and are introduced to current industry safety standards, which they begin to develop and demonstrate during everyday practice. Image, motivation and goal setting are stressed in addition to the attendance requirements. Students learn various types of communication, a general knowledge of salon operations and reception services, which assists them in their daily operations and complete this course.
