2012 BCGEU Student Scholarships
The B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union is offering $45,000 in scholarship awards, $3000 for full time students and $2000 to part time students who are BCGEU members or relatives of BCGEU members or staff.

Credit Union Foundation of BC
The Credit Union Foundation of BC provides annual scholarship funding for higher education. In addition, a bursary program is available to both members and non-members of credit unions.

Application deadline:
February 15 for program start in Winter (January - April )
June 15 for program start in Summer ( May - August)
October 15 for program start in Fall (September - December )


The Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship
The Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship for Colleges (GWMSC) awards program is designated to recognize outstanding college students who show a strong commitment to their field of study and are interested in making positive contributions to their communities.

Entrance W. Garfield Weston Award for those beginning their college education. Application Deadline: March 28, 2012.

Upper Year W. Garfield Weston Award for those enrolled in a full time program leading to a diploma or an applied degree.
Nomination deadline for VCC: March 23, 2012


The Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship
This is available to students, after completing two years of study at an eligible sending institution, must transfer their credits into full-time studies at another public post secondary institution in B.C. to complete their degree.

The Irvine K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society Aboriginal Award
This is for those who plan to enroll in full time study, with a minimum of 9 weeks in length and leads to a post secondary credential.
