The College is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive learning and working environment free from violence, threats, or intimidation committed by or against any member of the College community. The purpose of the Violence Prevention Policy is to establish clear expectations, reporting pathways, and response procedures that support a proactive and coordinated approach to identifying, preventing, and addressing all forms of workplace violence.
This policy applies to all College-Related Activities, including but not limited to, activities occurring on College property, any off-campus events, or functions under the College's authority or supervision. It also covers all online or virtual activities associated with the College. The Policy applies to all College Members, contractors, volunteers, visitors, and guests.
This policy is designed to complement and not to conflict with the College's collective agreements. If there is any inconsistency between this policy and a collective agreement, the applicable collective agreement provision(s) will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency. Reports of harassment, discrimination, bullying, or sexual violence are outside the scope of this policy.
