Facility environments have been in existence for thousands of years, and today, facilities are utilized to teach learners, treat patients, provide entertainment and meal experiences, house residences, retail encounters, and much more.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the career possibilities, networking associations, and professional development opportunities in the field of Facility Management. You will learn about structure of assets management, best value procurement, quality and benchmarking, including service-level agreement (SLA), Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) and Six Sigma methodologies.
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift from speed to quality, increasing the key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational excellence. According to a recent report published by Deloitte on the impact of COVID-19 on facility management, “the role of the facility manager becoming more and more prominent and even shifting from an operational level to a strategic level.”
A firm facility management foundation will enable you to understand, implement, monitor, improve, and communicate the FM results to your organization.
