Working in Canada
If you are in a program that requires you to complete a practicum, you are required to have a practicum work permit before you begin any placement. A practicum is an essential component of your program requirement which allows you to gain work experience in the industry. You must apply for the work permit well in advance, unless you were already issued the permit when you received your study permit. In order to apply for the practicum work permit you are required to have a letter from VCC that confirms that you have a work placement. The letter will be issued to you during your program. If you have any questions regarding the practicum work permit letter, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information about the Practicum Work Permit, visit the Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.
