Applied Music – Composition IV (MUSC 2210)

This course is a continuation of MUSC 2110 and continues to develop the necessary principles and skills required to become a professional composer/songwriter in a chosen genre. Topics include advanced harmony and theory studies, arrangement, notation, melody writing, preparing lead sheets, how and where to pitch songs, writing for specific instruments, writing for film and TV, writing for unusual instrumentation, writing for MIDI instruments, writing with electroacoustic resources and production.
