Fixed Prosthetics 3 (DENT 2450)

This theory and laboratory course expands upon information and techniques for the design, fabrication, modification and repair of multiple unit restorations and complex prosthetics. Students learn to fabricate various types of cosmetic, metal, ceramo-metal and ceramic, porcelain, composite crowns and bridges. Students apply advanced aesthetic, prosthodontic techniques including implant-retained prosthetics. Computer assisted design and milling (CAD-CAM) techniques are applied to the fabrication of multiple unit fixed prosthesis. Dentists' prescriptions are followed.
