Pojagi Workshop (FASH 1119)
This traditional Korean patchwork technique, also know as Bojagi, uses waste scraps to make something new and beautiful. Pojagi have many possible uses, but are commonly used as wrapping cloths, table coverings and curtains. In this workshop, you will complete a small wrapping cloth, or start on a larger project. Required supplies: sharp fabric scissors, cutting mat & rotary cutting wheel, a selection of lightweight woven fabrics for your project (preferably natural fibres like cotton or linen), and machine sewing thread to match. (6 hours + 1 hour lunch break)
This course is best suited to learners with some basic sewing experience. If you have successfully completed FASH1154 Beginner Sewing 1 or FASH1118 Introduction to Industrial Sewing Machines (or have other relevant experience) you may use our industrial sewing machines. Otherwise, you are welcome to use one of our domestic machines, or bring one of your own.
