Preclinical Prosthetics 2 (DENT 2009)

Complete Dentures: An introduction to the arrangement of artificial teeth on articulated edentulous casts. It is designed to provide the necessary skills and information for arranging teeth with different degrees of cuspal inclinations.

Partial Dentures: Designed to produce an understanding of the function and the structural requirements of case removable partial dentures. Emphasis is placed on the theory and design features of these prostheses to ensure a biologically compatible result. As a continuation of Introduction to Partial Dentures in Semester One, students maintain their competency in the fabrication of various wrought wire/acrylic and also fabricate cast metal removable partial dentures.
