Salon Business 1 (HAIR 1210)

Retailing various products in the salon is an integral part of the hair styling industry and an important supplement to business and personal income. In this introductory course, students are instructed on retail product information, selling in the salon and maintaining client information. Professional communication between stylists and clientele is emphasized and students are graded on this interaction. Students are introduced to our Salon Management Computer program and under the supervision of an instructor, students receive training on reception and telephone services. The importance of stock control and salon maintenance is stressed in this course to ensure that students have a general understanding of everyday salon requirements.
