Vocal Pedagogy I (MUSC 1136)

Course content includes: vocal anatomy and physiology; voice production and acoustics of singing; pedagogical principles and terms; survey and analysis of teaching methods and the national schools of singing; correction of vocal problems and appropriate repertoire choices; learning styles, vocal health and body awareness techniques; teaching vocal style and interpretation; sample lessons. Lectures, assignments and guest lectures will develop a student’s comprehensive knowledge of the topic.
