Am I allowed more than three guest tickets?
The limit of three guest tickets is due to limited seating in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and fire marshal regulations. When you submit your RSVP online you will be able to print out your three guest tickets.
Is there a waiting list for extra guest tickets?
Yes. If you would like to request extra tickets, select the option "Yes, please notify me!" from the drop down menu when you submit your online RSVP form. Please note, we cannot guarantee that extra tickets will be available. If extra tickets are released, you will be notified via email one week before the ceremony.
Do I need to order a gown in advance?
No, VCC will provide you with a gown on the day of Convocation, free of charge. Gowns will be available for pick up from room 240 at the Downtown campus. The gown room will open at 10:30 a.m. Please note that all students must wear the gown as provided, in order to cross the stage. Indigenous students are welcome to wear ceremonial regalia in place of, or with, VCC regalia. The gown room will be closed during the ceremony, but will reopen after the ceremony. All students must return their gown to the gown room immediately following the ceremony.
Is there live video streaming of the ceremonies?
Yes. Live video streaming of the ceremonies will be available on this page on Convocation day.
Will there be coat check during the ceremony?
Yes. Free coat check will be available to graduates in the gowning area for coats and umbrellas only. Please leave purses, backpacks and laptops at home or store with your guest(s). A paid coat check is available for guests at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
