Awards recipients will be notified by email in October 2025. 

Awards vary and can be in the form of a cheque, tuition credit, gift card, or membership. Awards will be distributed via email money transfer after the ceremony to your VCC student email address.

There is a limit of two guests per award recipient.

Please Note: This event features festival-style seating, which means seating is limited and not assigned. While we aim to accommodate as many guests as possible, not all attendees will have a seat. Guests may be required to stand for the duration of the event.

We ask award recipients to arrive 30 minutes before their ceremony time to check-in and get seated.

Award recipients will receive their award money via email transfer sent to their VCC student email account on the day of the ceremony. Students can pick up their award certificates in person after the ceremony at the Broadway campus Financial Aid office. If you are not able to make it in person to pick up your award, please email financialaid@vcc.ca or call 604.871.7046 to arrange to have your certificate mailed to you.

Biographies are read aloud during the Awards ceremonies. We ask that biographies are short (190 characters or less) and gives the audience a brief overview about you, your goals and accomplishments, and who you would like to thank. Sample bios can be found here.

Generous donors make these awards and scholarships a possibility for VCC students. To show appreciation, we ask that award recipients write a thank-you letter to the donors. Letters could include how the award will help you, a description of your journey thus far, and your goals. Sample thank-you letters can be found here.
