Description
This is a Grade 9/10 non-credit course that focuses on improving reading comprehension and speed. Students improve their ability to recognize implied meaning, inferences and organizational strategies in academic texts. Vocabulary development and study skills are included.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Improve reading comprehension and speed to a Grade 10 level.
- Identify main ideas, implied main ideas, inferences and vocabulary in context.
- Identity rhetorical strategies being used in texts.
- Expand vocabulary and use in sentences.
