Description
In this course, students will further develop their understanding of architectural principles and conventions introduced in DRFT 1111. They will produce a precise and comprehensive set of plans and elevation drawings for a single-family residence, adhering to the standards outlined in the British Columbia Building Code (BCBC).

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify views used on drawing plans
- Identify graphic conventions to represent building practices and elements in drawings
- Identify building views using the correct CAD tools and format
- Use graphic conventions to represent building practices and elements in drawings
- Calculate bearings and angles for plot plans
- Draw residential plans, elevations and sections using accurate drafting standards
- Calculate floor support systems
- Assemble and construct building views using correct CAD tools & format
