Description
In this course students explore key communication concepts and practical skills that contribute to effective interpersonal relationships. This course focuses on the development of self-awareness and increased understanding of others including cultural safety and humility, compassionate communications, cultural awareness, diversity and inclusivity and conflict management.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply effective verbal and non-verbal communication
- Apply the principles of compassionate communication when interacting with others
- Reflect on the effects of cultural diversity in the classroom and the workplace
- Reflect on appropriate and effective team work strategies
- Discuss cultural safety and humility in relation to communication practices.
