Description
This course focuses on refrigeration systems in industry settings. Students will learn to identify and work with system accessories, implement proper piping practices, and select appropriate refrigerants and oils for various applications. The course emphasizes industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety practices. Students will prepare for professional certification while developing skills in system optimization, troubleshooting, and compliance with environmental regulations. This course culminates in preparation for Environment Canada's refrigerant handling certification.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify refrigeration cycle accessories
- Explain and use proper piping practices
- Identify types and application of refrigerants and oils
- Explain environmental regulations and safety practices
- Prepare for Environment Canada's CFC/HCFC/HFC Certification

Instructional Strategies
