Description
This course continues the introduction from Common Health Challenges 1 to the structure and function of the human body by exploring common challenges to health and healing associated with each body system. Students will also explore the role of nutrition in common health challenges deepen their understanding of person-centered principles and practice as it relates to common health challenges.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Discuss the structure and function of the human body and normal changes associated with aging.
- Discuss common challenges to health and healing, including the experience of illness and disability, the experience of chronic illness and implications for care, and common health challenges related to each body system.
- Discuss nutrition as it relates to managing common health challenges.
- Describe ways to organize, provide and evaluate person-centered care and service for clients experiencing common health challenges.
