Description
In this course, students continue to acquire the knowledge necessary to perform direct client care as it pertains to oral health, care for persons with disabilities, and development of individual, group or community oral health education plans.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe preventive intraoral skills, techniques, and products used to attain optimal oral health.
- Discuss management of care of persons with disabilities including adaptations of oral hygiene techniques.
- Discuss the role of the Certified Dental Assistant in community dental health.
- Deliver oral health education projects in the community.
- Develop learning resources for community presentations.
