Description
This course provides students the opportunity to consolidate their skills and knowledge acquired in the program in an industry kitchen setting. Students will also be introduced to employment standards, professional responsibilities, and interviewing skills during this course.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe employment standards in preparation for work experience and career entry.
- Apply industry standards and procedures essential for food and kitchen safety and sanitation in a professional Asian culinary environment.
- Refine a variety of practical skills and theoretical knowledge acquired during the program in a professional Asian kitchen environment.
- Gain exposure to skills, methods, and knowledge specific to the industry placement.
- Critically analyze and reflect on performance to support ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrate professional responsibilities such as timeliness, respectful communication and adherence to safety protocols, according to industry expectations.
- Work effectively as a team member in an industry setting using time management and communication.

Instructional Strategies
While participating in the work experience, students will have the opportunity to learn from a variety of industry mentors. The instructor will conduct an on-site visit for a feedback and networking session. Furthermore, the instructor will be available for support, feedback, and reflection throughout the duration of the work experience.
