Description
This course builds on the courses in the first year of this program. Focus is on parts organization and structure processes in the automotive service industry and beyond. Students will learn inventory control procedures, warehouse storage procedures, and shipping, receiving, and distribution procedures. Students will practice checking and recording inventory and will use computerized inventory control systems. Students will learn to interpret reports issued for computerized control.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply inventory management software to track inventory, predict what’s needed, and restock items more easily.
- Implement simple and efficient methods (like LEAN) to keep the right amount of stock and avoid waste.
- Analyze inventory data to spot patterns and determine optimal stock levels.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to keep inventory flowing smoothly and avoid shortages.
- Design product displays and stocking plans to match customer demand, boost sales, and reduce excess inventory.
