Description
Building on the foundational skills and dispensing principles from PHAR 1206, this hands-on course will prepare students to dispense non-sterile compound medications. Students will compound a variety of formulations, including topicals, liquids, suppositories, and other non-sterile compounds with an emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality. Additionally, students will utilize relevant pharmacy resources to ensure proper formulation and adherence to industry standards.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Prepare non-sterile compounds safely and accurately using appropriate technique. (1)
- Demonstrate appropriate and safe use of compounding equipment. (2)
- Interpret compounding prescriptions and formulas to accurately follow instructions for compounding preparation. (3)
- Use pharmacy references and resources to find compounding information. (4)
