Description
This course builds on the experiential opportunities in ECED 2306 Early Childhood Care and Education Practicum 2. Students will extend their knowledge and participate as an "Assistant Teachers" in licensed child care centres. An expectation of growth in confidence, competency and techniques will be confirmed.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Integrate feedback from practicum supervisors to improve practice and develop a co-constructive approach to their practice in early childhood education
- Integrate theoretical principles of early childcare and education into planning, implementation and assessment of curricular activities and pedagogical practice in early learning settings
- Employ and assess a range of guiding strategies to guide children’s behavior
- Plan and implement an integrated program of daily and weekly activities that incorporates all areas of an early learning curriculum
- Reflect upon and evaluate their knowledge and skills as early childhood educators
- Set professional goals to guide practice in early learning settings
