Description
This course prepares students in the development of foundational concepts of financial management. By introducing students to the time value of money and investment valuation, students will understand the factors of making sound financial decisions.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Review financial statements to evaluate a company’s performance.
- Explain the mechanics of compounding.
- Estimate the time value of money.
- Examine the fundamentals of interest rate determination considering the type of investment.
- Measure the expected rate of return and risk of an individual investment
- Compare bond to stock valuation when assessing investment opportunities.
