Description
Students learn how to use popular accounting software to perform key bookkeeping functions efficiently and accurately. Topics covered include setting up and managing accounts, recording transactions, generating financial reports, and reconciling accounts. Through hands-on exercises and simulations, students gain practical experience in computerized bookkeeping and enhance their employability in the field of accounting and finance.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe the fundamental principles and concepts of bookkeeping within an accounting software
- Use accounting software to perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
- Perform basic setup and account management functions within a bookkeeping software system
- Demonstrate how to record transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses
- Produce financial reports using accounting software, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform bank and account reconciliations within a bookkeeping software system
- Describe the importance of data accuracy, integrity, and security in bookkeeping software
- Communicate financial information to stakeholders using accounting software
