Description
This course is the first of three courses in the micro-credential program ‘Anti-racist Facilitation Training: Addressing Anti-Indigenous Racism in Adult Learning Environments’ which equips both new and practicing facilitators with the knowledge, self-awareness, and skills required to effectively address Indigenous-specific racism within adult learning environments.
Whether you are a new or experienced facilitator, ‘Fundamentals of Anti-racist Facilitation’ will provide you with the fundamental knowledge and core skills required to recognize, analyze, and effectively respond to anti-Indigenous racism in your teaching and facilitation. In addition to the specific anti-racist facilitation competencies, this course also provides an intensive training on effective instructional design, teaching, and facilitation skills, along with a foundational understanding of adult learning theories. This ensures a consistent foundation for all learners, irrespective of their prior experience in teaching and facilitation.
