This course provides students with the tools and skills of group facilitation through both theoretical and experiential approaches

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe foundational theoretical concepts in group facilitation
- Apply effective facilitation skills at each stage of group development (modeling - skill)
- Demonstrate self-awareness as a participant and facilitator of groups
- Recognize the impacts of group work
- Identify a diversity of leadership styles and approaches in group facilitation
- Maintain professional practice as a group facilitator
Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR)
PLAR will be assessed by the Department according to standardized practice and using one or more of the following components: Challenge Exam, Demonstration, Interview, or External Evaluation
