Description

This lecture/seminar course explores professionalism and inter-professional practice within the context of a Practising Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). The role of professional associations and the regulatory requirement for continued competency and practice hours within the context of life-long learning are discussed. Principles related to dental photography and software management systems are introduced. Domestic violence, substance abuse, tobacco intervention and cessation and the role and responsibility of a dental health care professional are also explored. This course is part of the full-time Certified Dental Assisting Program.
