Description
Personal Management Skills provides students with opportunities to explore, develop, and enhance their awareness of self, their awareness of others, and their verbal and non-verbal communication skills. These skills are applied to personal relationships, everyday life situations, and the workplace.
This course is part of the full-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Job Readiness Program.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate professional behaviour and attitude
- Develop an awareness of how personal management contributes to employment success
- Communicate skills and resources used to maintain good physical and mental health
- Demonstrate turn taking and assertive conversation skills
- Provide constructive feedback to peers
- Discuss and give examples of verbal, non-verbal and gestural means of expression
- Identify common beliefs, values, and behaviours that form individual and community identities
