Description
Career Choice Skills helps students explore reasons for working. Students will develop an understanding of their personal interests and apply these to lifestyle and career choices. Students will discuss work experience placements that may lead to a career choice.
This course is part of the full-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Job Readiness Program.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Interpret the results of a career/personality assessment for self-awareness
- Summarize and present news stories related to employment
- Summarize employment-related field study visits to better understand workplace management
- Summarize career options and requirements for various industry-specific areas
- Discuss and identify factors that may contribute to career decisions
- Identify and use search engines to conduct basic job searches
- Identify and use appropriate career search vocabulary
- Define a company mission statement and its purpose
