Description
Job Search Skills provides students with opportunities to learn effective ways to find work, network with appropriate contacts within and outside of the deaf and hard of hearing communities, write resumes and cover letters, and develop job interview skills.
This course is part of the full-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Job Readiness Program.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of a resume and identify keywords from resume templates
- Identify keywords of a job application form and explain their purpose
- Answer questions regarding self and communication needs during job interviews
- Access a company website to help prepare for a job interview
- Apply communication skills to prepare for workplace introductions
- Explain the purpose and use of an interpreter in providing support during a workplace interview
- Identify the purpose and components of an employment portfolio
