Description
Continuing from the previous term, Job Search Skills provides students with opportunities to learn effective ways to find work, network with appropriate contacts, write resumes and cover letters, and develop job interview skills.
This course is part of the full-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Job Readiness Program.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop employment-related presentations
- Identify and define the purpose of common tabs on a company website
- Answer interview questions using relevant job post information
- Write and edit cover letters using templates
- Identify various resume formats to match different job postings
- Write summaries relating to previous education and employment to prepare for interview questions
- Request a professional reference in person and through email
- Create a checklist for the components of their employment portfolio
