Description
This class covers traditional Andalucian (Southern Spain) dance form with guitar accompaniment combining footwork, arm work, palmas (hand clapping), and castanets, palos (dance rhythms and names) involved with Flamenco.
This course is part of the full-time Dance Program.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Have a mastery (Consciousness, Intellectual, Physical) of dance techniques at a professional level
- Have physical strength and stamina to withstand the rigour of a professional dance career
- Demonstrate understanding of movement on internal, body and spatial domains
- Be able to perform a broad based variety of types, forms, genres and styles of dance
- Have mastery of musical interpretation and of theatricality in dance
- Demonstrate a professional work ethic
- Be able to apply problem-solving, memory skills and critical thinking to dance
