Description
The second term focuses on the rudimentary principles of improvisation including: following and leading impulses, use of space, dynamic, music and time in varying groupings from solo to ensemble.
This course is part of the full-time Dance Program.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Have a mastery (Consciousness, Intellectual, Physical) of dance techniques at a professional level
- Have physical strength and stamina to withstand the rigour for a professional dance career
- Demonstrate an understanding of movement on internal, body and spatial domains
- Be able to perform a broad based variety of type, forms, genres and styles of dance
- Have mastery of musical interpretation and of theatricality in dance
- Demonstrate of a professional work ethic
- Engage in the creative process in an integrative way with choreographer
- Demonstrate they will function effectively in a professional environment
- Can function effectively in a rehearsal
- Be able to prepare self for performance
- Be able to apply problem-solving, memory skills and critical thinking to dance
