Description
In this course students apply the appropriate codes and zoning requirements as set out in the Vancouver Building Bylaw (VBBL) for multi-family wood framed structures. Students follow a typical design workflow process to prepare a set of architectural drawings of a town house.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply project requirements within the zoning and building code regulations
- Use and follow a typical design workflow process
- Calculate building areas and floor space ratios (FSR)
- Interpret sentences from Part 9 of the VBBL into graphical representations
- Design and draw room layouts and spaces in multi-level floor plans
- Research and present a building product for a group presentation
- Develop and draw building views and plans using accurate drafting standards
