Description
This course introduces the student to the overall layout of plumbing and mechanical equipment for buildings for the mechanical engineering industry.

Prerequisites
DRFT 1010, DRFT 1011, DRFT 1012, DRFT 1013.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Determine the entrance and exit locations of utilities (gas, water, sewer, storm drainage)
- Determine plumbing fixture locations and requirements
- Determine shaft spaces, chase sizes for fixtures, mounts, carrier and overhead clearances
- Evaluate pipe routing options
- Prepare drawing layouts for small projects and executing redlines from designers for large projects
- Apply code system requirements to plumbing system

Instructional Strategies
