Description
Students will learn the components used in process and utility piping systems. Industry standard sizes, ratings and designations will be discussed.

DRFT 1010, DRFT 1011, DRFT 1012, DRFT 1013.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain how pipe wall schedules are determined and documented.
- Identify the different types of pipe, fittings, flanges, pumps and connections used in piping systems.
- Compare the different materials used for the piping systems and where they are commonly used.
- Identify the different types of valves and how they are used in piping systems.
- Discuss the different pipe support and hangers and where they might be used.
- Create a block library of piping symbols to be used in piping layout drawings.
