Description
The student will prepare a resume and letter of application. Locating job vacancies, assessing marketable skills and interviewing skills will be covered.
This course is part of the full-time Architectural Technician, Civil/Structural Technician, Steel Detailing Technician Certificate Programs.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Prepare a personal needs assessment
- Determine personal marketable skills
- Prepare a resume and written application, including a covering letter
- Research prospective employers
- Organize a systematic job search
- Prepare for and handle a job interview
- Expedite the interview follow-up
- Describe applicable prohibitions in the Architects Act
