Description
This course provides students with advanced grammar, reading and writing skills. Students learn to write compare/contrast, argument, and issues-based paragraphs and essays.
Both ENGL 0861 and ENGL 0871 are required for completion of ABE Advanced level English.

Prerequisites
ENGL 0752 or VCC Reading and Writing Assessment scores: reading 50, grammar 40 and writing 0861.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
