Description
This course continues the writing skills developed in English 0871. Students write and present a cause and effect essay. Students also learn literary analysis through studying character analysis and other short story elements and writing a literary analysis essay.
Both ENGL 0861 and ENGL 0871 are required for completion of ABE Advanced level English.

Prerequisites
English 0861 or VCC Reading and Writing Assessment scores: reading 55, grammar 43, and writing 0871.
