Description
Explore all aspects of Destination Wedding Planning and Destination Management including requirements for permits, licenses and other logistical requirements or restrictions. Investigate various destination locations and determine vendor selections, photographers, DJs and entertainment, catering, décor, flowers, hair and makeup, and much more.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate effective leadership, organizational and communication skills as they relate to destination wedding planning
- Source suppliers and vendors for elemental and logistical requirements of destination weddings such as rentals, staging, decor,
performers, photographers, security, audio/visuals and presenters
- Select venue and design menu plan to accommodate event requirements
- Differentiate the various types of food and beverage services and estimate food & beverage costs
- Produce contracts and demonstrate effective negotiating practices
- Produce budgets, schedules and contingency plans to allow for clarity and organization
- Verify requirements for legal documentation (ie. Licenses, Permits, Insurance, Taxes, etc. )
- Investigate various destination locations and outline all travel requirements (e.g., flight, accommodations, air carrier requirements, group travel packages)
