Description
In this course, students learn to effectively manage the planning and buying of appropriate merchandise for a fashion retail business. This course emphasizes the buying terminology, retail buying math, plan projections, stock planning, and domestic and foreign resources.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply buying terminology
- Communicate rationale for buying decisions
- Identify appropriate merchandise as it relates to the retailers' target market
- Recognize consumer purchase patterns that influence retail buying
- Execute a six-month merchandising plan
- Navigate the various elements of the fashion calendar
