Description
Communicate ideas more powerfully, overcome nervousness, handle impromptu speaking, and organize and practice for business presentations by using a selection of proven communication techniques. Course involves giving a presentation and receiving constructive feedback in a supportive environment.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Provide participants with the necessary skills to organize, rehearse and present materials in a confident, effective, and professional manner.

Course topics
- Speaking with increased clarity, confidence, and impact
- Handling impromptu speaking situations
- Understanding the importance of body language in communicating the message and using body language effectively
- Preparing and using visual aids in an effective and memorable manner
- Organizing speaking materials in a logical manner – one that is appropriate for the audience
- “Reading” the audience and responding to verbal and nonverbal feedback in a timely and appropriate manner
- Understanding how to prepare for and rehearse a presentation
