Description
This course provides students with the algebra and trigonometry skills needed for entering post-secondary programs requiring Mathematics 12. Students are introduced to a review of advanced algebra concepts; equations and applied problems; complex numbers; relations, functions and transformations; linear and quadratic functions and inequalities; polynomial functions; exponential and logarithmic functions and their graphs.
Both MATH 0983 and MATH 0993 are required for completion of ABE Provincial Level Algebra and Trigonometry Mathematics.
The use of a graphing calculator or other technology is optional.

Prerequisites
VCC MATH 0871 with a C-; or Pre-calculus 11 with a C-; or Foundations of Mathematics 12 with a C-; or 72% on the VCC Intermediate Algebra Assessment.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
