Description
This course describes the business management skills needed by supervisors and leaders and explains a learning model for developing such skills. The course is designed to enable students to realize the importance of managerial and leadership skills, and to help them apply these skills effectively in the dynamic and challenging environment of today's business workplace.

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop self awareness and recognize their own cognitive style
- Define emotional intelligence and recognize its importance in building managerial relationships
- Adopt strategies for reducing personal stress
- Increase proficiency and creativity in problem solving
- Develop effective and persuasive communication skills and strategies for effectively managing conflict
- Improve relationships by using personal management interviews
- Enhance the work-related abilities of others in managerial organizations
- Facilitate a motivating work environment as supervisors
- Identify the relationship between power and authority
- Recognize when to delegate tasks in an organization
- Participate as an effective team member and facilitate team leadership
