Description
This course introduces students to risk management. Students examine ways to reduce the probability of negative risks and enhance the probability and/or impact of positive risks thereby optimizing the chances of project success. Students also learn the tools, techniques, and processes for procuring products, services or results needed for project success.

Successful completion of all Term 1 and 2 courses.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify positive and negative risks at various stages of a project.
- Apply tools and techniques to determine the impact and probability of project risks.
- Develop processes and strategies to mitigate the identified risks.
- Create and maintain a risk register to manage project risks
- Determine how risks impact all the other knowledge areas of project management.
- Develop and document project procurement decisions, specifying approach and identifying potential sellers.
