Prerequisites
Class Piano 1253 or audition.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- play with a more in-depth knowledge of chord voicings
- play with more advanced coordination of melody and walking bass lines
- play Minor and Major II-V-I voicings
- play Bossa Nova grooves
- play stride piano techniques
- play an expanded repertoire of standard jazz compositions

- Technique/Fingering of scales, triads, arpeggios
- Chord Progressions of Primary and Secondary Triads
- Unseen Skills in reading, transposing, harmonization ie theory at the piano
- Practice habits
- Elementary musicality, phrasing and style
- Performance Anxiety
